U.S. Lags in Youth Science and Math

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
— Nelson Mandela

According to the Programme for International Student Assessment, the U.S. ranks 27th in math and 20th in science among developed countries globally. This is a troubling statistic that should be addressed as soon as possible. It is no secret that the world is becoming increasingly technologically based, and it is important for kids to learn the skills necessary to navigate this new landscape. As parents, teachers, and mentors, we have a responsibility to ensure that our children are properly equipped to thrive in a STEM-ulated world.

Fortunately, there are many ways to help kids MEASURE UP to a technologically based society. For example, introducing them to coding and programming can help them understand the basics of building systems and programs. Additionally, exposing students to engineering principles provides many benefits such as:

  • Engineering educational programs develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. These skills are invaluable for any future career.

  • Engineering is an exciting field that allows kids to explore the world of science, technology, and mathematics.

  • Engineering educational programs provide an opportunity to learn from experts and mentors who can provide guidance and advice.

  • These programs also teach kids how to apply the knowledge they are learning in the classroom to real-world situations.

  • Engineering educational programs can help kids develop a wide range of skills and abilities that can be used in their future endeavors.

  • By participating in an engineering educational program, kids can gain experience in a variety of fields, such as computer science, robotics, and product design.

  • Engineering offers an amazing career path, with competitive salaries and great job opportunities.

  • Kids enrolled in engineering educational programs will have the chance to meet and collaborate with other like-minded students, which can be a great learning experience

Newton's Adventures is an engineering education service provider, and we are standing by to ensure your students MEASURE UP in a technological, engineering focused society.
